At Vida Foundation we are different. We have created a space that is safe, friendly, welcoming, non-judgmental, and fun! Older people can exercise surrounded by support, encouragement, and laughter!
We hold social activities specifically for the over 60s. Come along for a chat in a friendly atmosphere with tea or coffee and biscuits or, at the evening events, Prosecco, dancing, singing and a lot of laughter. This helps prevent loneliness, fights isolation, fights depression and offers the opportunity to make new friends.
Our exercise sessions are suitable for all seniors with variations to suit those who may be struggling with illness or injury, as well as those who are fitter and want to give a little extra. We use chairs, soft balls, stretch bands, sticks and just body weight to perform exercises that will strengthen muscles and make them more flexible. We also have dance fitness for fun and to work your heart and lungs.
This can help with fall prevention, make performing everyday tasks a little easier and allow you to be independent for longer.
