about vida foundation

Believing that older adults were not sufficiently catered for in a way that was accessible and affordable, Cleria Humphries founded an Exercise & Socialise Social Enterprise in 2019, designed for older people to improve their physical and mental well-being.

about vida foundation hove

Teaching classes in church halls and community centres initially, she was always searching for a more suitable venue, central to our community. It came together in April 2022, when she found the site in Blatchington Road and local MP, Peter Kyle, cut the ribbon and a new era of Vida Foundation began.

Vida Foundation has become a welcoming hub for adults aged 60 and over in the greater Brighton area. With six bus routes stopping right at the door, and another five just a block away, accessibility is ensured for visitors from a wide range of nearby Communities.

A dedicated team of experienced and passionate instructors teach classes ranging from fun dance, balance and strength; Pilates and Tai-Chi, most followed by a cup of tea and a chance to natter. In a fun and relaxed environment, monthly social events such as Bingo, Quiz, and Disco nights enrich the social life of older adults and provide an opportunity to meet and mix with new friends.

It’s wonderful to see people coming to what they call the ‘club’ and participating in the activities at their own pace and level of fitness.

So, pop in, say hello and join us. We look forward to welcoming you.
